Lagos To Play Host To Nigeria’s First Ever Agriculture Award

Lagos is set to play host to the first ever Nigeria Agriculture Award that will hold on Tuesday, November 18, 2014. The exclusive event will hold at Landmark Village Event Centre, Victoria Island Lagos.

Designed as a yearly event, the NAA will recognize contributions to the agricultural sector in 14 different categories. There will be about 35 awards in all.

The recognition of individuals and corporates that have distinguished themselves in this sector serves as an inspirer and motivator for Nigerians to do even more knowing that their efforts is not going unnoticed.

Individuals and corporates that have excelled in the areas of innovation, entrepreneurship, research, technology, advocacy, journalism amongst others will be awarded.

There will also be Achievement in Agriculture Awards for individuals and organisations who have contributed to the growth of Nigerian agriculture, through investment of time and effort and resources In the light of a global drop in oil prices, this event is an apt reminder that there is no better time than now for government, organisations and individuals to see agriculture as a business so that it becomes our main source of foreign exchange.

The award is powered by Verdure Vision Limited and the Agriculture Policy Research Network (APRNet). APRNet is a Think-Tank devoted to bridging research, policy and practice in the agriculture and rural development sphere, while Verdure Vision Limited is the publisher of AgroNigeria Magazine which has, over the years, developed a credible platform for positive agriculture and allied sector reportage with content development and dissemination capacity in print, virtual and digital formats.
